About the Event

Local public transportation - What is it? How is it funded? Who uses it, and what are the benefits?

Join us as we answer these questions and more with Peter Fletcher, Executive Director of the La Crosse Area Planning Committee and Adam Lorentz, City of La Crosse Director of Transit.

This Sustainability Chats is a part of a week long event hosted by La Crosse MTU & LATA (La Crosse Area Transit Authority) with the MTU & SMRT bus systems happening Jan. 30 - Feb. 4 called Transit Equity Days. Check out the schedule of events!

Feb. 4 is Rosa Parks' birthday and for the past four years, the Labor Network for Sustainability has sponsored a Transit Equity Day on Feb. 4 to highlight the importance of public transportation for good paying service jobs that are vital for equity and climate action. https://www.labor4sustainability.org/transit-equity-2023/

Sustainability Chats are monthly virtual green tours celebrating and highlighting the sustainable efforts happening throughout the Driftless region.  Registration is free for our virtual events, but required.

Our Sustainability Chats are free of charge thanks to a mini-grant from the La Crosse Community Foundation and the support of our members and donors. Thank you!
