For the fall of 2024, Sustainability Chats are getting a new look! We will be recording our Sustainability Chats and releasing them monthly giving our audience the chance to listen or watch at their convenience.
Our September Sustainability Chat is with Citizens' Climate Lobby (CCL). We were joined by Larry Sleznikow, the co-leader of the La Crosse Chapter of CCL, and Tamara Stanton, Education and Resilience Coordinator & Greater Pacific Northwest Regional Director of CCL. Citizens' Climate Lobby (CCL) plays a crucial role in advancing sustainability by mobilizing grassroots support for effective climate policies. Its emphasis on bipartisan collaboration helps bridge political divides, fostering legislative action on climate change that might otherwise stall. By empowering individuals to engage with lawmakers, CCL not only amplifies public demand for sustainable solutions but also educates citizens about the urgent need for climate action. This grassroots-driven approach ensures that sustainability remains a top priority on the political agenda, leading to more robust and inclusive climate policies that address both environmental and economic concerns. Through persistent advocacy and community engagement, CCL contributes significantly to building a sustainable future for all.
