Meet Aditi, a junior at Onalaska High School who is passionate about making sustainability easier for everyone to understand.

In 2024, Aditi received a Youth Climate Action Fund grant to create Tech Tales, a children’s book designed to break down complex topics about sustainability in a way that’s fun and approachable.

In 2025, she was awarded a second grant for her Pocket Forest Project, inspired by the Miyawaki method of reforestation.

Throughout our conversation, Aditi also talks about the challenges she faced while completing her project and how she overcame them. Beyond her work in publishing and reforestation, she’s currently developing a mobile app to support learning and inspire more young people to take action for the planet.

Tune in to hear Aditi’s inspiring story and learn how youth-led ideas are creating real change in our communities.

Meg is a college student from Mongolia who is currently at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse through their international student exchange program. Meg is working towards a bachelor's degree in Environmental Development at her main college in Japan.

"I am excited to be a part of the Sustainability Institute. I’ve just completed an academic year at UWL. My major is Environmental Development. Over the next two months, I’ll be working with the Sustainability Institute on their Sustainability Chats series interviewing Youth Climate Action fund recipients. This is my first job in the field, and while I’m both excited and a bit overwhelmed, I’m committed to doing my best to contribute."
